Pangong lake incursion
This map represents finger area of pangong lake. India says LAC starts at finger 8 and accoding to China LAC starts at finger 2. China is trying to capture more land.
China has occupied GREY area which is from finger 4 to finger 8 with 4000-5000 troops.

There is no proper demarcation of LAC. Protocols made by BDCA (boarder development corporation agreement) is not followed by China and India.

Both countries - different LAC demarcation.
China claims that they have not crossed CCL (CHINA CLAIM LINE).

After disagreements between India and china, Lt General Harinder Singh and Major General Lin Lui had a meeting on June 6 in Chushul Moldo  region.
In the meeting both officers decided to peacefully resolve the whole situation in border areas with bilateral agreement.

Lt. General Harinder Singh
He's the commander of Leh based Fire and Fury crops (14 crops).  The 14 Corps looks after military deployment along Kargil-Leh and looks after the frontiers with China, Kashmir and also guards the Siachen glacier.

IN GALWAN VALLEY
Chinese troops enterd India crossing LAC (line of actual control). They have entered about 3km into Indian territory. Demarcation of LAC in galway valley is proper still Chinese troops intrusion was seen.

PLA negotiators stated that Galwan valley was never controlled by Indian Army. China had control over the hilltops of Galwan river for "as long as they could remember". China is trying to capture more land in India.

In fact China alleged that India had constructed  1km long track from Shyok-Galwan river Junction along Galwan river. They also alleged India was building this 1km long track  into metal road.

 CHINA BUILT ROAD TILL LAC-
Indian army countered that China had built a metal road where LAC existed (before intrusion of Chinese troops) and also added that the road would cross LAC. China in their defence said Galwan valley was controlled by PLA and so they can construct road.

More than thousands of soldiers of both the armies clashed near Pangong lake. Both the armies wanted to resolve the conflict.

Standoff was in areas-

  • Patrolling point- 14,15 and 17
  • North bank of Pangong Tso
  • chushul.

At point 14- Chinese troops have objected that India building 60m bridge on rivulet. This bridge was built for troops easy access to Daulat Beg Oldi (last indian military post).

At point 15- Chinese troops camping in tents at point 15.

At point 17-  From both sides troops gathered. Recent resources said that armoured vehicles and troops are moving back.

In Pangong lake also Chinese troops have moved back with their interceptor boats and other vehicles.

5000 soldiers with artillery guns, deployed tanks were sent to India china border.

India and China decided to resolve the standoff. Both sides will continue military and diplomatic engagement to resolve the conflict.

PRESENT SITUATION IN LEH-

https://intellectualtalk982.blogspot.com/2020/06/India-china-border-tension-latest-updates%20.html?m=1

According to recent news Indians and chinese troops are moving back from standoff positions.
Later Army sources confirmed this statement.

India clearly mentioned about construction of road within boundaries and third party (USA) intervention was rejected by India.
India will not halt construction within Indian boundries including DS-DBO. India is also working on Sasoma road (Sasoma to saser La) which will be an alternative road to DBO.

Reasons behind India-china conflict-
  •  Rapid Indian infrastructure development about 75% roads are ready near the border. This means armies can show easy movement near border which isn't good.

  •  China is increasing army forces to send  signal to India. China wants India  shouldn't raise voice against law which will be imposed in Hong Kong.

  • India and Australia to sign defence logistics pact during virtual bilateral summit. After signing this pact Indian navy and Australian navy will be able to work together in the Indian Ocean region which is not good for China.
